Urban Decay Is Back in Wonderland With the 2022 Alice Through the Looking Glass Collection - Makeup and Beauty Blog
"I'grand not strange, weird, off, nor crazy, my reality is just unlike from yours."
~ Lewis Carroll
Those are some inspiring words, and they're words that UD besides uses to describe the new limited edition $sixty Alice Through the Looking Glass Eyeshadow Palette and $eighteen Lipsticks, sequels to Urban Disuse Alice in Wonderland Book of Shadows. With an emphasis on individuality and embracing the things that brand us dissimilar, this collection is for the beauty take a chance-takers!
The Alice Through The Looking Glass Eyeshadow Palette ($sixty)
Even with the neon kaleidoscope eyeshadow colors, I didn't discover the palette hard to article of clothing. I've heard some mixed reviews near the shadow formula, and that'south open to interpretation, but I volition say that the best-performing eyeshadows besides happen to be the ones that matter the most. I remember information technology says a lot about the palette'southward wearability that I was able to come up with an Alice-themed look on my starting time endeavour!
In that location are enough smokier neutrals, along with a trio of terrific matte blending shades, to bring harmony to the bright and quirky shades.
The blues and greens experience a trivial thin but work well enough, and Dream On is basically a pressed glitter. Simply the reds, browns, and champagnes are creamy and take a LOT of depth. The entire 4th row is amazing!
The Alice Through The Looking Glass Lipsticks ($18 each)
Like the palette, the Alice Through the Looking Drinking glass Lipsticks ($18 each) are all nigh "transforming and not conforming," and they're some of the near interesting lipsticks I've ever seen.
I love the quality beyond the board. I haven't had whatsoever issues at all while wearing them. In fact, Mirana is 1 of the best burgundy matte lipsticks I've e'er touched!
My one criticism, though, is with the packaging… The lids feel thin, and the lipsticks take a tendency to move around in their tubes (two of mine broke at the base *sad confront*).
But despite that flaw, they're cool additions to your collection if y'all're looking for something different.
- Alice (Sheer Shimmer): A sheer nude with pink shift, it adds a subtle regal/pink shine to your lips, but when you remove information technology, it looks orange-chocolate-brown on the tissue! Talk nigh trippy… Anyways, this is a actually interesting "nude" option.
- Fourth dimension (Metallized): A gunmetal-navy with silver shimmer. This is a surprisingly habiliment navy, and the glitter enhances the look, so the sheerness doesn't bother me.
- Mad Hatter (Metallized): This brilliant royal shimmer builds up to full opacity very chop-chop and has a more metal stop. It's a purple with a lot of pink in it… Love!
- Mirana (Metallized): This matte berry with tonal shimmer is ane of the all-time burgundy lipsticks I've ever come up beyond. It'south matte but doesn't feel dry out, and the glitter is in proficient gustatory modality.
- Iracebeth (Comfort Matte): This bright red matte is intense and blue-toned, and it goes on effortlessly. It'southward creamy, too, with a "natural" kind of smooth.
What are your thoughts on this colorful collection? The Alice in Wonderland movies aren't exactly my matter, but I love how hit and unique the collaborations are.
Run across yous in the next,
